Saffron Dessert (Halva)
🥄1/2 cup of rice flour
🥄2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
🥄1/2 cup of rosewater(golab)
🥄2 cups of water
🥄1 1/4 cups of sugar
🥄1 1/2 cups of liquid oil
🥄3/4 teaspoon of saffron
🥄Silvered almonds or pistachios for garnish
Pour water, sugar, and saffron in a pot and let it boil.
Remove from heat and add the rosewater to the pot mix it well then set the syrup aside.
In another large pot, pour all-purpose flour and rice flour and toast over medium heat while stirring frequently for 5-10 minutes.
Then add the liquid oil and stir constantly over medium heat.
Stir until the color of flour is brown and you feel the smelling of cooked flour. be careful do not burn the flour(you should be patient and stir constantly).
Once the flour is ready, remove the pot from the heat and add the syrup of rosewater to it and stir very quickly until Halva thickens.
Place Halva in a dish and flatten with a spoon and at the end garnish it with slivered almonds or pistachios.
